Our Founder's Heart
Hi, I’m Jessica, co-founder of Parasol. A proud mom of two, and a first-generation immigrant from Taiwan. My story, like Parasol’s, has always been about possibility: the belief that we can take life’s hardest challenges and turn them into something meaningful.
In 2015, a dear friend confided in me about her struggle to find diapers made with clean ingredients that were soft enough to keep her babies comfortable and free from painful rashes. With no background in diaper making or e-commerce, but with determination and love at the core, I set out to reimagine what baby care could be.
That journey led me across 26 countries and four continents, learning from suppliers, scientists, artisans, and parents. Piece by piece, I gathered the insights that shaped Parasol into what it is today: diapers and wipes that are as gentle as they are effective, made with care for both babies and the world they’ll grow up in.

Parasol was built differently, without venture capital or outside investors shaping our path. We are self-funded, which means our focus is entirely on parents, babies, and the families we serve. Our loyalty begins and ends with babies. Every decision we make, from choosing clean ingredients and RashShield® protection to using TCF, eco-conscious materials and thoughtful design, is guided by what keeps babies healthy, protected, and nurtured.
